However, it was her role as Sakthi in the Colors Tamil serial “Amman” that propelled Pavithra to new heights. Her portrayal of a devotee of Goddess Amman earned her accolades, and she clinched the Best Actress award at the Colors Tamil Awards 2021.

Renukaswamy Murder Case

Pavithra Gowda was named as the First accuse in the murder case of Renukaswamy, a fan of actor Darshan from Chitradurga, Karnataka. This incident came as a big shock to entire state of Karnataka due to the involvement of actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, who was fondly called as D Boss by his fans.

The victim ‘Renukaswamy’ was a fan of actor Darshan from Chitradurga, Karnataka. He used to work in a medical shop. according to the media reports, He was unhappy with the relationship of Darshan and Pavitra Gowda. So he used to send abusive and vulgar messages to Pavithra Gowda, which led her to complain about this Renukaswamy to actor Darshan.

Actor Darshan, through his connections of friends,  found out the whereabouts of Renukaswamy and brought him to Bangalore to warn him. The victim was kept in a shed near Rajarjeshwari Nagar, where he was tortured and manhandled by Darshan friends.

Renukaswamy body was discovered the next day, June 9 in a culvert in Kamakshipalaya, Bangalore.  After police investigation it was stated that  Renukaswamy was beaten to death by Dasrhan friends.

This incident has sent shockwaves through the community and the Kannada film industry. The police are continuing their investigation to uncover more details and the motive behind this heinous crime. Pavithra Gowda, Darshan and other accused are in police custody now.
