Anu Sithara was born on August 21, 1995, to Renuka and Abdul Salam. She has a sibling named Anu Sonora. Her early education was at SKJM Higher Secondary School in Kalpetta, and she later graduated from WMO Arts and Science College with a degree in B.Com. Anu was actively involved in her dancing classes during her school days and won several prizes. She received training in classical dance from Kerala Kalamandalam.
