She was born on January 4, 1997, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, to Malayali parents. Her father, Sajayan, was an engineer, and her mother is Bindhu Sajayan. Although her family roots are in Kerala, Nimisha was raised and brought up in Mumbai. From a young age, she showed interest in arts and sports and even trained in martial arts; she is known to hold a black belt in Taekwondo and represented Maharashtra in national competitions.
