Yashaswini Yojana 2024 - Application Documents Fee Benefits

During the budget speech for the fiscal year 2022-23, the Chief Minister declared the reintroduction of the Yashasvini Yojana in the state. In accordance with the state government’s directives outlined in the budget speech, the government has officially sanctioned and mandated the revision, reenactment, and implementation of the “Yashaswini” scheme.

Yashaswini Yojana [Yashasvini Scheme] was started in 2003 in Cooperation Department and was in operation from 2003-04 to 2017-18. Then it was transferred to Health and Family Welfare Department. This scheme was discontinued from 31-05-2018. From 31-06-2018,this scheme was merged with Aarogya Karnataka Yojana.

Responding to the persistent requests from cooperatives and farmers throughout the state, the state government has opted to comprehensively devise and reintroduce the Yashasvini Yojana in the 2022-23 budget, allocating a substantial sum of Rs. 300 crores for the project.

The Yashasvini Yojana is a unique program designed to support members of cooperative societies, establishing a maximum annual medical expenses limit of Rs. 5.00 lakh for beneficiary families. Cashless treatment is accessible at any Yashasvini network hospital within the state.


How to apply for Yashaswini Yojana | Yashaswini Yojana 2024 Application

You have to visit your nearest Agricultural Service Cooperative Society branch and apply along with necessary documents.

Yashaswini Yojana Required Documents

  1. Ration card holder
  2. Aadhaar card of each member
  3. Two photographs of each
  4. Scheduled caste/tribe [SC/ST] members should submit a copy of caste certificate with RD number of each family member.

General Category: Urban – Rs. 1000, Rural – Rs. 500.
No fee for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe members.


Yashaswini Card Benefits

Yashasvini Yojana is a special scheme implemented for the benefit of the members of cooperative societies wherein the maximum limit of annual medical expenses for the beneficiary family is Rs. 5.00 lakh has been fixed. Cashless treatment is available at any Yashasvini network hospital in the state.

Under Yashasvini Yojana, Yashasvini network hospitals in the state will offer treatment services for conditions such as heart-related diseases, ear, nose, and throat ailments, intestinal diseases, nerve-related disorders, and other general illnesses as specified under this scheme.

Yashasvini Yojana will provide treatment for 1650 diseases which are initially included in Ayushmana Bharat Arogya Karnataka Yojana.

Yashasvini members are entitled to receive services in the General Ward, encompassing expenses such as medicine costs, hospital charges, surgery expenses, operation theater rent, anesthesiologist fees, consultant fees, bed charges, and other related costs associated with the treatment facility provided in network hospitals under the Yashasvini Yojana. This encompasses fees for nursing services and other associated expenses.

Yashasvani members are entitled to outpatient treatment (OPD) in network hospitals, with a capped amount of Rs. 200 for a three-month period. Network hospitals are prohibited from charging members beyond this limit. Yashasvani Trust will contribute Rs. 100 towards this amount.

Yashasvini cardholders are eligible for treatment at network hospitals after 15 days of receiving the Yashasvini card.
