Growing up in Ranchi, Komal was academically inclined. She completed her schooling at DAV JVM Shyamali School in Ranchi. She then moved to Bengaluru to pursue a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology. After graduation, she briefly worked as a civil engineer in Dubai, before quitting to follow her passion for acting.
