Rasika Dugal Age

Rasika Dugal was born on 17 January 1985 in the Circuit House Area of Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. She is 40 years old now. Her parents are Jessie Dugal and Raveen Dugal.

She completed her schooling at Sacred Heart Convent, Jamshedpur. For her undergraduate studies, she moved to Delhi and earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Lady Shri Ram College for Women in 2004. It was during her time at LSR that she first got involved with theatre.

After her B.Sc., Rasika decided to follow her passion for performance. She studied social communications media at Sophia Polytechnic, Mumbai, and later enrolled in acting at the prestigious Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune.

Rasika’s screen journey began in 2007, when she made her film debut with a small role in Anwar. Over the next few years she took on minor and supporting roles in a variety of films such as No Smoking (2007), Hijack (2008), Tahaan (2008), Agyaat (2009), and Aurangzeb (2013).

Alongside films, she also appeared in television series — including Powder (2010), Kismat (2010), Upanishad Ganga (2012) and later shows such as P.O.W. – Bandi Yuddh Ke (2016).

Rasika’s career began to shift significantly around 2015 and after. In 2015 she appeared in the film Qissa (2015), earning praise for her work.

Her real turning point arrived in 2018, when she played Safia, the wife of the legendary writer in the biographical film Manto — a role that brought her critical acclaim and a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the Screen Awards. That same year, she delivered a powerful performance in Hamid – a film that won accolades, and for which she received a Best Actor Award at the Rajasthan International Film Festival.

Simultaneously, Rasika’s presence grew in the digital-streaming world. She gained widespread recognition for her role as the cunning and complex Beena Tripathi in the hit web series Mirzapur on Amazon Prime Video, a performance that earned her a nomination for Best Actress in a web series from the Indian Television Academy.

Following that, she featured in several acclaimed web series such as Made in Heaven (2019), Delhi Crime (2019 onward), Out of Love (2019–2021), A Suitable Boy (2020), and OK Computer (2021).

Rasika Dugal Husband

Rasika is married to actor Mukul Chadda. The two have also collaborated creatively – for instance, co-writing a short film titled Banana Bread. Despite her rising public profile, Rasika tends to keep her personal life private, focusing instead on her craft and the kinds of stories she wants to tell.
