Born on March 9, 1994, in Taliparamba, Kannur, Kerala, India, Nikhila Vimal is currently 31 years old (as of 2026). Nikhila was born to M. R. Pavithran, a retired officer from the statistical department who sadly passed away in 2020, and Kalamandalam Vimaladevi, a trained classical dancer and teacher.

She grew up in a culturally rich household that encouraged artistic pursuits. Nikhila has one elder sister, Akhila Vimal, who is a research scholar in Theatre Arts at Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi.

From a young age, Nikhila trained in classical dance forms such as Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, and Kerala Natanam and actively participated in youth festivals, which helped shape her expressive acting skills. She completed her schooling in Taliparamba and went on to graduate with a B.Sc. in Botany from Sir Syed College, Taliparamba (Kannur University) in 2016.
