She was born on November 19, 1995, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Her father is Himanshu Sutaria, and her mother is Tina Sutaria, who played an important role in encouraging her musical training. Tara has a twin sister, Pia Sutaria, who is a professionally trained dancer and fitness enthusiast.
