Despite her early interest in films, Anishma pursued formal education and completed a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree from Lourdes Matha College of Science and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram, graduating in 2021.

After completing her degree, she chose to follow her passion for acting and began auditioning for film roles. In 2023, she made her feature film debut with the Malayalam movie Poovan (2023), in which she portrayed the character Sini. This role marked her official entry into the industry and laid the foundation for her subsequent projects.
