List of Chief Ministers of Chhattisgarh: Chhattisgarh is 26th state of India. It was formed on 1 November 2000, Earlier it was under Madhya Pradesh state. Raipur is the capital of Chhattisgarh. Chhattisgarh is the ninth largest state by area, and with a population of roughly 30 million, the seventeenth most populous.

It borders seven states – Uttar Pradesh to the north, Madhya Pradesh to the northwest, Maharashtra to the southwest, Jharkhand to the northeast, Odisha to the east, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to the south.

Four people have served as the state’s chief minister since Chhattisgarh’s formation on 1 November 2000 as a result of the Madhya Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2000.

The first chief minister of Chhattisgarh was Ajit Jogi of the Indian National Congress. He was succeeded in 2003 by Raman Singh of the BJP who served three consecutive five-year terms. He is longest-serving Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh is Dr. Raman Singh.

Third person to serve in the office was Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel, who served from 2018 to 2023, was succeeded by Vishnudeo Sai, the current incumbent, following the resounding victory of Bharatiya Janata Party in the 2023 elections.
