List of Chief Ministers of Sikkim: Sikkim is a state in northeastern India. Its capital and largest city is Gangtok. It is the least populous and the second-smallest state in the country.
Since 1974, Sikkim has had five Chief Ministers. The first Chief Minister was Kazi Lhendup Dorjee from the Indian National Congress.
Pawan Kumar Chamling of the Sikkim Democratic Front served as Chief Minister from 1994 to 2019, making him the longest-serving Chief Minister of Sikkim. He also holds the record as the longest-serving Chief Minister in India, having remained in office longer than all his predecessors combined.
His 24-year tenure ended after the 2019 Vidhan Sabha elections, in which Sikkim Krantikari Morcha won the majority. Prem Singh Tamang assumed office as Chief Minister on 27 May 2019.
